A few things to know.

Make your next step a confident one.

What is a CHOICE Arrangement?

It’s an employer-funded health reimbursement arrangement, formerly called an ICHRA. You need qualifying individual health coverage to participate. Your employer determines which expenses the plan reimburses. Learn more at HealthCare.gov ↗

Can I spend what’s left after my premiums?

If your plan covers medical expenses beyond premiums, your remaining allowance may reimburse qualifying purchases. A premiums-only plan won’t cover these purchases. Confirm with your administrator first.

Can I use these funds for voluntary benefits?

Not automatically. Dental and vision premiums may qualify if your plan permits them. Life insurance and income-replacement disability premiums do not qualify as medical expenses. Ask your benefits administrator about how each policy is paid for.

Does my remaining allowance roll over?

Your employer’s plan sets rollover and claim deadlines. Unused funds aren’t available as a cash withdrawal. Check your plan documents before making year-end purchases.

Does an “HSA/FSA eligible” label mean it’s covered?

That label does not confirm coverage under your CHOICE Arrangement. Your plan may have narrower rules. Keep documentation and don’t submit the same expense to more than one account for reimbursement.
